PAYMENT DUE AT TIME SERVICE RENDERED: Payments for Diagnostics, authorized Repairs made at time of Diagnostic, and Planned Maintenance Appointments (PMAs) are due at time service is rendered.
In situations where responsible person/entity is not or will not be present at time service(s) is rendered, a credit/debit card or electronic check (ACH) payment is required upfront for total cost of Diagnostic Call or PMA prior to appointment being scheduled. Authorized Repair Estimates resulting from such will be charged to the same billing method unless another form is requested and presented at time of authorizing repair.
PAYMENT METHODS: We accept cash, paper checks made payable to Mike's Mechanical, e-checks (ACH payments) over the phone, credit/debit cards by swipe in person or over the phone and by PayPal invoicing via email. For all credit/debit card transactions over $500 for repairs or installations, a 3% processing fee will be added to the total amount due.
SENIOR DISCOUNT: Seniors 65+ receive a 10% Discount upon request for diagnostic, repair and maintenance services.
RETURN REPAIRS shall be paid in full at time of accepting the Repair Estimate by cash, check, PayPal, or credit/debit cards before any part(s) and/or materials are acquired and repair scheduled, no exceptions.
BAD PAYMENTS: Check payments not honored due to insufficient funds or stop payments and credit/debit card payments not honored due to stop payments or disputed charges will be due immediately by cash. A Bad Payment Fee of $35 will be added to original amount and .05% interest per day until paid in full will be added to the same beginning on the date of the original payment.
INSTALLATION Install Payment: Payment terms are as set forth and agreed upon in the presented Proposal for down payments, any applicable drafts and final payment. Proposals give an option to pay in full at time of acceptance with cash and save 2% off total quoted price.
The Final Payment and any authorized additional costs to original Proposal is due upon completion within 3 days Final Invoice is presented to responsible party in person or via email. If Final Payment is not paid within 3 days, I agree to pay .05% interest per day (1 ½% per month / 18% annual) on unpaid balance until paid in full with interest beginning on the 4th day.
Mike’s Mechanical, the Seller, will retain title/ownership to any equipment and/or materials furnished until full and complete payment is made and if payment is not made as agreed and remains delinquent for 30 days, the Seller shall have the right to remove same beginning on the 31st day and the Seller shall be held harmless for any damages resulting from the removal thereof. If Final Invoice is placed for collection, I agree to pay the Seller’s attorney fees and any court costs.

MANUFACTURER’S PART(s) WARRANTY: All equipment/ parts are warrantied as specified by the manufacturer for the time period set by the same. The manufacturer will replace the warrantied part(s) that fails per their specified policies without cost during the warranty period; except for possible freight costs to get your part to you, which will be your responsibility. As a retailer, manufacturer defective units and/or parts are beyond our control.
With that being said, manufacturers’ warranties do not cover the contractor’s cost to diagnose the problem(s) and/or labor to fix the problem(s); unfortunately, this is your responsibility as the customer.
Parts are warrantied per manufacturer's specifications. Manufacturer's doesn't cover repair costs.
Trane 2-year Repair Labor Warranty: Trane was founded in 1913 and their reputation for reliability, efficiency, and longevity is unmatched in the HVAC industry. We believe in the quality, dependability, and the long life of Trane's American made products; this is why we chose to be an authorized Trane dealer in Waynesville, Asheville and surrounding areas.
Two-year labor is included on all new Trane brand equipment purchased from and installed by Mike’s Mechanical effective from Start-up Date of Equipment. However, this warranty does not cover Diagnostic Calls; the owner is responsible to pay for the applicable Diagnostic charge at the time of visit. This labor warranty does not cover any existing Trane equipment but part(s) warranty is applicable while warranty is valid.
Parts are warrantied by Trane as specified for each product.
OWNER OBTAINED EQUIPMENT: Mike’s Mechanical does not offer a Repair Labor Warranty on Trane equipment not purchased through our company.

This warranty does not cover any existing Trane or RunTru equipment.

Mike’s Mechanical does not offer any type of Repair Labor Warranty on equipment not purchased through our company including Trane equipment.
Parts are warrantied per manufacturer's specifications. Unfortunately, manufacturer warranties do not cover contractor’s diagnostic and/or repair labor cost and is the responsibility of the customer unless falls under Diagnostic Warranty.
Diagnostic on findings is warrantied for 7 days from the date of Diagnostic Visit. Meaning, if your system is still not operating properly, we will make a Call-back Diagnostic Visit at no charge when reported to us within this 7 day period to determine any other underlying problem(s) that was not obvious due to the severity of the main issue making it more apparent; which is often the case.
Please contact us as soon as you feel your system is still not working properly to ensure the validity of this warranty as it is specific to the 7-day period from the date of repair. If it is determined that the replacement part we installed is defective, we will not charge for the repair labor to replace the defective part if reported within the 7-day period from repair.
There will be applicable charges for additional part(s), if not under manufacturer warranty, and for repair labor just as if the problem were discovered at the time of the original Diagnostic visit; Diagnostic cost is the only waived charge. This also applies to leak searches because it is possible to have more than one refrigerant leak.
Call-Back Diagnostic Visits are priority and are scheduled same day, when possible, within during normal business hours between the hours of 7:30 am – 4:30 pm Monday-Friday. If not possible, it will be priority scheduled the next morning, including weekends; unless extreme temperatures. . If customer requests this Call-Back Diagnostic Visit after hours, there will be $60 After Hours charge for visit.
Call us ASAP for a Call-Back Diagnostic if you feel your system is still not working properly.
Our ASSURANCES: We assure you that your equipment and/or duct system installation meets or exceeds NC Mechanical Code requirements. We also assure you that your system has been sized accurately, for your circumstances, and installed correctly; we cannot offer the same assurance for instances where you have chosen to not to accept our installation recommendations like placement, modifications, sizing (tonnage, seer, BTU) and etc for optimal performance; this will be noted.
When the equipment we install is sized and fitted correctly, operated as recommended, and maintained (including regularly changing filters) in accordance within the manufacturer’s operating and maintenance manuals, we, like you, fully expect the system to perform as specified by manufacturer with no issues. Please keep in mind that all structures are constructed and insulated differently, so performance and efficiency can vary per specific circumstances.
CRAFTSMANSHIP WARRANTY: This warranty is meant to assure you that your new duct system has been sized, fabricated and installed correctly and the same for any duct modifications made in connecting to existing duct work. Mike’s Mechanical, LLC will make any necessary duct modifications and/or repairs on duct installed and/or modified by us at no charge to you for a period of 1 year after installation/modification.
This does not cover any existing duct work, nor does it cover damage to duct work caused by owner, animals, other tradesmen, or other causes after installation. This warranty does not cover instances when customer opts not to authorize recommended duct modification and/or additions to current duct system for the new equipment installation to ensure proper efficiency of system; this will be noted.
Leaks fall under Craftsmanship Warranty: *Refrigerant (freon), Gas, Oil, and Drain lines will be repaired at no charge to you provided it is determined to be a Craftsmanship issue within the first year after installation.
We are not responsible for any property damage that may result from any leak. Clogged drain lines are not covered under this warranty. This warranty does not cover any existing refrigeration, gas, oil, or drain lines; only lines installed by us with the new installation.

Not covered under Craftmanship Warranty: When installing new equipment and/or duct work or other materials into existing structures we cannot guarantee that the owner will not incur other costs for carpentry, structural, or cosmetic type repairs that could result from making necessary modifications to “retrofit” the new system into the old design/layout; these are the sole responsibility of property owner.

The cost of refrigerant (freon) is not warranted by any manufacturer nor Mike’s Mechanical; applicable charges will apply per pound of refrigerant added to your system under all circumstances.
